Women of Wonders Film Fest 2013
All the film are FREE and begin at 6:30 pm @ The ARTS at Marks Garage, 1159 Nu‘uanu Avenue.
Donations, if any, will be used to fund the 2013 Summer Reel Camps for Girls!
This event is organized by Hawai‘i Women in Filmmaking in collaboration with the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women and the Hawaii Women Lawyers.

A documentary that follows the remarkable journey of Patsy Mink, an Asian American woman who, battling racism and sexism, redefined American politics. Kimberlee Bassford will be in attendance for Q&A after the screening.

Untold Story of American Superheroines by Kristy Guevara-Flanagan
This film traces the fascinating evolution and legacy of Wonder Woman and looks at how popular representations of powerful women often reflect society’s anxieties about women’s liberation. Kristy Guevara-Flanagan will be in attendance for Q&A after the screening.
March 6 // Las Madres: The Mothers of Plaza De Mayo by Susana Blaustein and Lourdes Portillo
As well as giving an understanding of Argentinean history in the ‘70s and ‘80s, Las Madres shows the empowerment of women in a society where women are expected to be silent. Las Madres provides a banner of hope in the international struggle for human rights.Susana Blaustein will be in attendance via Skype for Q&A after the screening.
