MMTM aims to foster critical thinking and storytelling skills, as well as the technical abilities to create, write, direct, and edit their own film projects. Through the program, youth can become agents of social change by using film as a medium. ⁠MMTM is intentional in providing a space for youth to redress the inequities in mainstream film production and promoting alternative ways of being and doing in film and everyday life. 

Since 2012, the Reel Camps have provided a courageous and safe environment for girls (cis/trans), femmes, non-binary, gender-fluid, and gender-queer youth, as well as any other youth who identify outside of the gender binary. It is a place where youth can express their creativity, boost their confidence, and embark on a journey of personal transformation. Participants learn to create and share their own stories, which are meaningful and deserve to be heard and seen.⁠

The Women of Wonders Film Fest highlights and celebrates the lives and accomplishments of women around the world, and here in Hawai‘i. The film fest presents a selection of films directed by women, about women, for everybody.

Our post-production funding supports films that in a meaningful way through plot, character, theme, or setting benefit the Hawaiʻi Wāhine filmmaking community in a professional and economic capacity.
