The Sacred Place Where Life Begins: Gwich’in Women Speak directed by Miho Aida is an award-winning short film that explores the relationship between Gwich'in Women, an Alaska Native People living in what is now known as the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and the Porcupine Caribou herd which is the basis for their subsistence lifestyle and culture.
