The HWF Youth Council is a group of young, motivated people who are committed to amplifying the mission of HWF to advocate for women and girls to tell their stories through film. This is a highly collaborative opportunity to learn, expand your knowledge and networks, and engage with your peers.

About the event
As part of the HWF Youth Council you will:
- Co-create film program curriculum by identifying themes and topics to address
- Talk about HWF to your peers
- Seek out opportunities for collaboration with other youth organizations to make media that matters
- Develop new programming and initiatives
- Seek new opportunities
- Recruit new program participants
You commitment is estimated between 4 to 10 hours per month for a period of 5 months (July-November 2022)
To be part of the HWF Youth Council:- You have attended a HWF filmmaking program
- You are based on Oʻahu
- You are a Middle or High School student
- You are between the ages of 12-19
- This is a great leadership opportunity for you to become involved and engaged with your community and promote social justice and change through the powerful medium of film.

- Invitations to join the Council sent out by Jun 15, 2022
- 1st Council Plenary meeting convened first week of July, 2022 (in person/online TBD)
