About Jeannette: With more than 40 years of film industry experience, Jeannette Paulson Hereniko is best known as the founding director of the Hawaii International Film Festival, a position she held from 1981 to 1996. She also was the first director of the Palm Springs International Film Festival in 1990 and a founding board member of the international organization NETPAC (Network for the Promotion of Pacific and Asian Cinema) from 1991 to 2015. As President of Te Maka Productions Inc, she has produced several films, including the award-winning feature film, THE LAND HAS EYES, that played in over 30 film festivals and in commercial theatres throughout the Pacific and America.
